Went for the dine town, our bartender was fantastic, she makes the deserts and I loved those, the pork belly was good and the chicken was good , noodles needed lots of seasoning. Everything else was fine
Our Sunday lunch at Lock & Key was a five star experience from start to finish and the perfect way to spend an afternoon walking distance from Englewood Beach. We were greeted immediately at the hostess stand and when we requested to sit outside on a very hot day she went above and beyond, seating us near a fan without even being asked. A small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire meal. Our server was attentive and efficient, drinks arrived quickly and we were ready to order. We went with the tuna nachos and the calamari, both outstanding. The tuna nachos were exceptional, we wouldn’t change a thing. The calamari was perfectly cooked and the marinara on the side was a great complement. Most guests were dining inside to beat the heat but the outdoor experience was comfortable and relaxed. Service was warm, food was excellent, and the whole experience felt effortless. We are just beginning our full-time global travel journey and Lock & Key is exactly the kind of local gem we love discovering. We will absolutely be back. To us , Lock & Key is the best restaurants on Manasota,Key. Has complimentary valet parking which makes it a pleasure due to a small parking area and it's very welcoming when you walk thru the door. Bar to the left, dining room to the right and plenty of outside tables to watch the beach goers across the road. I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos and she had the Boom Boom Shrimp. We'd easily order those both again. The server was fast and friendly and when we come back we know it will be as nice.
Third year in a row I’ve visited this joint and it never disappoints. My favorite pina coladas out there are at the bar and the pull tabs make it even more fun to blow your vacation money on awesome cocktails. The menu is awesome with some of the best seafood I’ve had in that part of FL. Visited twice on this trip and had one of the best quesadillas in my life which kind of surprised me considering it’s a beach side seafood dining spot. Definitely try the roasty toasty pina colada, the quesadilla, and the make your own fish dinner. The peel and eat shrimp are also great.
Really cool place, a ton of regulars were there. It was busy pretty much all day. Happy hour is a lot of fun, I got lucky one day with a couple of wins on the drink tickets. The bartenders were excellent! I visited this place several times on vacation, and had ordered various items on the menu - fresh oysters, chicken wings, charcuterie, lock n key salad, tripletail entrée, and the BYO burger. Every dish was amazing, really delicious. I will absolutely be back.
We had a wonderful lunch. We all enjoyed our meals. The drinks were on the mark. The very best part was our server, Paige, and her honesty. We had settled our bill when she came back to our table and asked us to look at our tip. We had two twenties that stuck together with the other bills. We had intended to tip twenty-five percent. I want to thank her again for her honesty. She is much appreciated ❤️
Delightful restaurant with wide menu options, delicious and plentiful food, and oceanfront atmosphere. Plenty of outside tables and more comfortable interior seating. Billy did a great job as our server. He even warned us that the turtle ice cream cake was monstrous in size! Hmm… Cheese quesadillas were light and tasty. Ample quantity of shrimp, mussels, and clams on the seafood pasta & flavorful marinara sauce. Location is steps away from the beach and sunset was incredible!
We had a fantastic experience at Lock 'N Key! We sat outside on the terrace, which offered a beautiful view and the perfect atmosphere for a gorgeous evening. The service was absolutely spot on. Our server was attentive, and the food came out exceptionally fast. It is a great spot if you’re looking for quality and efficiency. They also have a lively outdoor bar that adds to the vibe. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in Englewood!
Love everything about this place. Start out from pulling in parking lot and they have free valet parking. So no hassle of finding parking. Everyone who is working always makes you feel welcome because they acknowledge you are there. Ordering drinks?? Well if it’s before 6:00pm you get to pull a tab with your drink and pull the right one you will pay only .50cents. Just make sure you order from the bar for the pull tab. Their food comes out in a timely manner and even if it didn’t it’s worth the wait. Hands down the best Ahi Tuna Nachos. I drive up there at least once a week to get them. Last night I got those and ordered the Catch Rockfeller. It was phenomenal. The vibe here is always great. If you want a fine dine restaurant but with a vibe like u feel at home this is the place to be. I’m adding pictures of my food last night. Also adding a picture of the stainless steel cooler because after working in restaurants for many years I pay attention to detail. Notice how the cooler is so clean to water drip marks hand prints etc. they keep this restaurant clean which means a lot. I love this place! Thank you lock n key for being one of the best all around spots here is swfl!
I am obsessed with this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, while the laid-back atmosphere created the perfect vibe. Great service, amazing scenery, and outstanding food make this a spot I'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend! I keep dreaming about the pasta I got because I was delicious. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name, but I did take a picture.
